    Great

    By Shanzer

    About Me

    Comments:

Great product but the app has a problem where if you have mistakenly picked the wrong exercise and then started your workout e.g. Spin bike and then you are actually doing a run on a treadmill it won't allow you to edit this after the workout has begun or when the workout has been finished and saved...

    Works well

    By Adwiz

    About Me

    Comments:

I replaced my old Wahoo Blue HR monitor with this one because the Blue HR doesn't support Ant+ which I need for Zwift. It works well. My only concern is that, like the Blue HR, there is no "on/off" switch so the battery can keep draining even after you take it off, thus reducing battery life. The Blue HR went through batteries in a ridiculously short time. It's still too early to tell how the TICKR compares.

    Great when it works

    By 9shorerd

    About Me

    Comments:

I bought this to replace my previous TICKR -- I haven't yet used the X features, so can't comment on that. But -- in the month I've had it, I've had several rides where my Strava app told me it had a connection but when I look at the HR data it wasn't getting real HR data. That's never happened with my TICKR, and I haven't yet figured out why it happens sometimes with this one. Otherwise, it's great, really helps me focus my training.

Great for the first 8 months.....

    By Charlie_Girl

    About Me

    Comments:

I LOVED this HR monitor for the first 8 months and ever since it has been nothing but a pain. I keep attempting to use it because I spent the money on it but it rarely works now. It will show a signal on my phone in the app but won't give any of the values (ie HR), will shut off after a few minutes, and won't record device free workouts anymore to name a few problems. I have attempted replacing the batteries twice and resetting the device and still nothing. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it is the device but this broke university student certainly wasted her money. :(

It does what it says it will do!`

    About Me

    Comments:

My workouts on a treadmill have become increasingly difficult as I age so I decided to get TICKR X to try to determine what was going on. I chose TICKR X because of its ability to give more input than just heart rate such as cadence and smoothness. Also an indoor spin bike may become part of my workout routine. What I found out was that my workouts were exceedingly tough. I was running in the "burst" mode 95% of the time and within 5 beats or so of my maximum heart rate for my age. So just to get this information was very useful. Now I don't think I am your average almost 73 year old. I have a resting heart rate around 43 or 44 and have no problem running 4 miles in 36 or 37 minutes. Just 3 or 4 years ago I could run 4 miles in 32 minutes but it was quite an effort! Another thing I noticed was that apparently as I increase and decrease my running speed cadence remains relatively unchanged and apparently I mainly adjust my stride as TICKR X can't discern this.

Good hearth rate monitor when used with iPhone

    By Starboy

    from Tienray, Nederland

    About Me

    Comments:

The TICKR X does measure data like hearth rate accurately and has got a few good apps like Runfit and Wahoofitness. While wrist watches are very popular for hearth rate measurement, they do not deliver the quality for each individual because of the measurement on the wrist with LED's. As a runner i would love to see the following to make it even much better: SOFTWARE - let the runfit app measure all of the sophisticated data like GCT, Vertical oscillation, Running Smoothness on GPS watches like apple watch series 2 or other wearables - make the runfit app a little bit more artificially intelligent en give me feedback like recovery state or advise me not to run, or predict my hearth rate, etc. - Make de data available in beautiful charts like Nike+ does but with the sophisticated data HARDWARE: - The TICKR X does start recording automatically when no phone is carried. Make it a triple tik for example to start and end a workout. - Built a newer TICKR X device that measures temperature, or other bio-sensor information and integrate this in de data charts visually like a human with a blue color for cool or red color for overheating during every measurement interval.

    Good device, bad app

    By crossfit User

    from Dallas, TX, United States

    About Me

    Comments:

The HR tracker is top notch, best is it can be used without a phone. The app provide minimal insight/analytics. I don't like that the app can synced with only one phone and that info isn't shared with tablet or laptop. To see data over multiple devices, must upload to a 3rd part app

    Average gadget with average performance

    By 310TN

    About Me

    Comments:

Twice slower to connect to any previously used fitness app, compared to old Sigma H heart belt. Even to native Wahoo apps, all on the same S7 Edge. Also unfastense too easily, sometimes inadvertently. IMHO too much hype about it, marketing is better than product.

    Easy to use

    By BobB

    from Herndon, VA, United States

    About Me

    Comments:

My Polar Heart Rate Monitor would not connect with my indoor trainer via ANT or Bluetooth. I saw some good reviews on this TICKR tracker and purchased it. I have my bicycle in a CycleOps Hammer trainer and use both Virtual Trainer and Zwift software. The monitor connected effortlessly to both and I can view my heart rate on the screen as I exercise. Each day when I start up, I put the strap on, open Zwift, and start riding. It could not be easier.

    Surprising device

    By JavaJohn

    from Dallas, TX, United States

    About Me

    Comments:

This is my second one, my first one bought when TICKE X was first introduced.. My dog chewed up my first one. It was more than I expected. I was suprized that the new one records pace during walking and cadence during spinning on a spinning bike. (I verified the precision with the bikes cadence sensor.)
